I have a thing for caves. Fortunately, this thing is shared by many other people, thus making cave tours a lucrative business offered all across the country. Even more fortunately, Kevin and Alaina also have a thing for caves, so we managed to get ourselves and Stephanie out of the hotel at 9:30 am to make sure we could catch a cave tour about 40 minutes north of San Antonio. Of course, once you calculate in an interstate accident (which, p.s., I think the Texas interstate design is really stacking the deck in favor of frequent accidents!), the ride back was more like 1 hour. Either way, these caverns were fantastic! The rooms were HUGE and incredible, and my photos can't begin to do it justice, but absolutely amazing- I think the best I've ever been to!

After leaving the somewhat hot and humid cave- Stephanie is really rockin' the curly piggies! |
